Petrocom - Filling Station Forecourt Projects

Here you will find just a few examples of some of the projects we have completed in the last few years.

Aiskew Garage, Bedale, 2013

We have recently completed a full knock down rebuild Petrol Filling Station, including a new tank farm and external works, at Aiskew Garage, Bedale.  We were able to ensure that access to the premises behind the site was maintained throughout the works, no mean feat when we were resurfacing both access routes and working around other contractors. Our client complemented us on our flexibility and adaptability to fit with other programmes of work – something we pride ourselves on being able to do.  The job was completed to specification and on time.

Springbank Garage, Nelson, 2013

This was a project which started out with us repiping the fuel and vent lines and breaking out and relaying the tanker bay.  The job developed into more extensive works involving drainage, duct work and additional forecourt works.  We then rebuilt a retaining wall on the side of a railway embankment.  The project included the requirement to remove trees which required ornithological surveys.  We even found an old disused tank behind the retaining wall which had to be made safe.  The job was completed in just under 4 months.

Asda Petrol Fuel Station, Tain, 2012

This was a new-build automated petrol fuel station for Asda that was built in conjunction with a new store development.  This was a challenging job as its location was just 85 miles south of John o’Groats in the highlands of Scotland, the availability of materials locally was very limited and the weather … well, it was very wet!   We had to be environmentally conscientious throughout the programme of works and sensitive to the environment.  We learnt a lot on this project, particularly how to clad a canopy with scotch larch.

Featherstall Road, Oldham - 2011

This job involved us in removing a car wash and car wash interceptor and cutting back and reducing the levels of the forecourt in order to allow space for us to build a solid concrete retaining wall for the Manchester Metrolink.  The job involved a deep excavation to remove an old brick-built interceptor 5m deep and also included fencing, drainage, lighting columns and general external works.

Preston East – 2009
This is a large, green field development site for James Hall and Company. The scope of works on this site included Gauge installation involving dual discriminating sensors and PLLD. Pipe work installation in Secondary Contained Durapipe to the car and HGV forecourt areas was undertaken along with supply of four vessels, compartmented into ten tanks, totalling 360,000 litres, complete with Atlas systems. An underground AdBlue tank was also installed on this site to six islands, in secondary contained pipe work supplied by Petrotechnik UPP.

Barnton, Cheshire – 2009
Petrocom also undertook a full installation here using KPS Secondary Containment pipe work and all civil works.

East Ayton, Scarborough – 2008
The project included the installation of Red Jacket Sub Pumps for a Pressure System, KPS Secondary Containment pipe work and complete installation service.
